چکیده
This paper aims to provide a five-step conceptual framework analyze the impacts built environment from multi-hazard interactions. Our methodology includes critical literature review and stakeholder workshops. framework's five steps are following: (I) identify hazards their interactions, (II) modelling, (III) analysis of hazards' spatio-temporal evolution impacts, (IV) identification impact (V) risk or assessment. approach is based on systematic spatial temporal determine potential In Step IV, we classify spatial-temporal overlap hazard into four types: (i) overlapping, (ii) (but not spatial) (iii) overlapping (with residual subsequent damage), (iv) independent single hazards. Building current approaches guidelines, this generally applicable broad range hazards, both considers damage recovery processes. The applied real-world case study in Po Valley, Italy, hypothetical scenario an earthquake shock that weakens levee system, then combined with intense rain results collapse flood. application supported by visualization each step, useful key elements for modelling. Practical uses include creation checklists decision-making, narrowing future research needs risk, integrating aspects international disaster management guidelines. • We systematically organize available risk. present resulting take account dynamics at seismic flood Valley.

A Framework for the Hazard Analysis of Chemical Plants I
Transposing the notion of software frameworks to the abstract ion level of formal specifications and verifications, we developed a framework supporting the formal hazard analysis of chemical plants. It provides generic specification modules for the description of safety properties, specification modules for the description of plant models, and theorems stat ing that certain subsystem structures...
متن کاملA multi-scale framework for mapping and analysis of the spatial and temporal pattern of urban growth
In the past, remote sensing has shown an ability to detect and describe urban growth patterns at different spatial scales. With new remote sensing devices (e.g. IKONOS, MODIS), with innovative image processing techniques and with further development of decision support tools (e.g. GIS and urban land use change models), remote sensing has new opportunities to provide useful information in suppor...

متن کاملA DDDAS Framework for Volcanic Ash Propagation and Hazard Analysis
In this paper we will present early work on using a DDDAS based approach to the construction of probabilistic estimates of volcanic ash transport and dispersal. Our primary modeling tools will be a combination of a plume eruption model BENT and the ash transport model PUFF. Data from satellite imagery, observation of vent parameters and windfields will drive our simulations. We will use uncerta...
متن کاملSpatial and Temporal Analysis of Dusty Days in Iran
Iran is one of the world's arid regions and exposed to dust particles in the air. This is important in spatial and temporal terms as well as the affects human health. In this paper a day when due to the amount of dust particles visibility reduces to 5,000 m is considered the dusty day. In the spatial and temporal analysis of dusty days 38 synoptic stations were studied. In order to conduct data...
